Course Objectives
Upon completion of Understanding and Preventing the Bystander Effect you will be able to:

Analyze the importance of workplace civility and its impact on employee well-being and team dynamics, emphasizing the role of bystanders in creating a safe and productive work environment.

Evaluate the steps to avoid the bystander effect, from interrupting problematic behavior to reporting incidents, fostering a culture where inappropriate behavior is not tolerated, and understanding the snowball effect of collective action.

Apply proactive strategies to prevent and address inappropriate behavior, harassment, and discrimination by becoming active bystanders, including recognizing unacceptable behaviors and supporting colleagues affected by them.
